The seats are corbeau GTS.  As for why, I personally did not fit the truck (older man with bad back).  The final reason is space.  I am building a 1986 AE86 coupe with all the trimmings - sr20det, supra rear axle, wilwood drift brakes, 7 point cage etc.  I am getting to point in the build where body work is about to start.  Currently, the car sits outside at a friend's shop where all the heavy fabricating is being performed.  l'll be  transporting the car to my garage for fitting the body kit, removal of all dings, and finally paint.

The truck sold today.

:spit:  you sold a first gen pickup that didn't have enough space and are replacing it with an ae86...  :tease:

Yea, that is pretty much it.  I moved the seat mount back to allow me to fit it.  Also, I lowered the seats (kirkey bomber seats) so my grape does not hit rollcage. :crossed:  If I can pull it off the interior will have alumimum panels and custom dash.  I am having some issues gas welding the aluminum instrument panel but I will get that worked out.   :smack:

I still love the classic styling of first gens, they just haven't grown larger like I have.

I've had a first gen and an ae86 at the same time and don't remember feeling like I had room to roam in the gts, and I'm a little guy!  It'll be fun though.  Only 2 cars I've had were the corolla and a 240z, really wish I never got rid of either!
