Wierd 4 runner rheostat...
« on: Jan 24, 2012, 08:36:30 PM »
what's up, does anybody know what is the deal with the 4 pin dimmer switch. My dash lights went out and after checking everything out, i'm getting power to both red and green  wires, seems right, white/blk is grounded. all bulbs are good and dimmer is turned up. the wiring must be ok, which leads me to the dimmer. can you jump the connections with out blowing a fuse. does anybody have a used one lol

thanks all

pull the lower shroud off your dash and make sure that dimmer switch is plugged in. I redid my dash and when I put it back together my dash "magically" stopped lighting up. it was that switch and I had not plugged it back in. if it isn't that, check your grounds EVERYWHERE. the grounds may look good but a ground to anything could throw everything off. believe me, my tail lights blew because my ground wasn't clean enough haha
