Anyone have a spare cv joint or complete shaft?
« on: Sep 13, 2011, 02:31:03 PM »
So I'm posting live from Fordyce. I believe we are at winch hill three. We are just turning around now. I completely grenaded my front  CV. A nice little yard sale. But I'm really hooped now. As far as parts go. So if anyone has a spare shaft or CV that would be awesome. My driveshaft length is 30 inches flange to flange slip fully compressed. Any help would be much appreciated.
If you have parts please text or call 1-403-704-3796

Thanks,

John

Ps. We do not need rescue we have lots of food and water at this time we should be able to get off the trail.

Do you need the front shaft to do the roundup run ?  I believe 30" shaft is right for a lifted rig with just one tcase.  If your going to the roundup I do have a complete front extended stock slip drive shaft I can bring.
Ill have to make sure its 30"s when I made it but its been a little while now.

Yeah I would need a shaft for the round up. Thanks a ton for your efforts. It's been quite the adventure. We are still on Fordyce. The cruiser has sheered his coilover mount in half and we have it held up with a piece of tree. We are going to still try to limp out tomorrow. Hoping we make it but we are prepared for another night.

Does anyone have a trailer in the area or portable welder for the cruiser once we get it off the trail?

I am gonna bring the spare drive shaft with me.  I will be in a brownish primered 1st gen truck.
Here is a my cell number.  I am going to be towing my rig up there so if worse comes to worse I can drop my rig off and come get cruiser.  I plan on leaving tomorrow morning early as I can.
I dont have a welder tho.

Thanks a ton for offering. A huge thanks goes out to Sean and Corey from Truckee. If it wasn't for them we would have been dead in the water.

Thanks for having us down and all your hospitality. I will be back again next year for sure. I'm addicted and can't get away. Now we will be leaving Tahoe to return home and I will get cracking on my 45.
