Topic: New Forum Section Needed

This forum really should have a Stolen Vehicles section. There are at least one a week in Cali.

Yknow, a thought occurs to me: Anybody who lives in/near the bay area probably knows that motorcycle theft is a huge problem, and on the bay area riders forum they have a section for stolen bikes, just like a parts for sale or off topic section. Maybe it's time we set one up on this site to keep better track of this, and make it easier for people to post stolen trucks or check for them if they see something suspicious. Just a thought, but maybe the time has come..............Nate

Great Idea,you should start by deleting the free sticker thread ,its like a big shopping list for thieves,there is even pictures of the trucks in allot of the avatars,probably a bad thing to have right now,i removed my name and address from the sticker thread ,(althought i appreciate the free sticker offer)

Good call, Any thing with personal information in it should be stricken from the site. The sticker post should have a link to PM the person incharge of sending out stickers. This way no addresses are seen on the site.

For the sticker thread, just have people PM or email you their address instead.

I did not delete the thread, I just moved it to a private section. As we have time we will send out stickers to those on the list there.

Good thinkin Minisimp on the new section idea. Also Highvoltage, good thinking with the sticker thing. And thanks Chris for adding the new section. There is so many stolen rigs. Thers been 2 or 3in the last month that I know of that are being stolen in Chico. Ive been parking my truck in the garage and keepin it there.

I think someone said it on here, but I think people shouldnt post on their signature what their rig has on it. I erased what I have (except for , 81 Toyota 4x4 SR5) on Pirate 4x4 because that website gets alot of traffic. I told my dad a few months that I think people are going on websites and looking where people are at. Ive seen that some people get their junk stolen and it is in a backyard, now how do they know that? Its messed up....
