Dropping rig to fit 38.5 tires..
« on: Aug 16, 2011, 10:20:58 PM »
38.5 ss tsl on a front TG 5 inch lift and 3 inch body lift.. Nice huh??? BS... Need rig to drop.. Its too high for me and i have this feeling it will tip... The rear is a pro comp 3 or 4 inch lift.. Cant really tell cause i bought rig this way.. Eye to eye it about 45.5 inches where as TG is 47.. im planning on adding a 5 inch in the rear and taking off the whole 3inch body lift... Would that fit, 5 inch lift and 38.5 tires??I can always add longer shackle but pinion angle wouldnt be too nice.... I measure from front tire to side fender is 3 inch longer than the rear.. Would that be a correct method of measuring?  Need some ideas to drop the whole thing...My wheeling is not hardcore...

I had 37's on my truck for a time with about a 3" lift and trimmed fenders. They didnt rub except with the front wheels turned all the way in compression. I went back down to 35's because that is enough for what I do. If you say your wheeling is not hardcore then why run 38.5 tires? Oh and thanks for getting the song on School of Rock stuck in my head

take off the 3inch bodylift and just run 5inch springs front and rear and it will work with your 38s

i agree, take the bodylift off. your yoda will ride much smoother and maby do some fender trimming if needed
