high pressure fuel line leak
« on: Aug 01, 2011, 11:47:59 AM »
so i was out wheelin yesterday and smelled fuel, determined it was my high pressure fuel line on my 91 3.0. watched it for a few minutes and it stopped and wheeled all day and drive 70 miles home and hasnt appeared to leak since but  i need to replace it. anyone familiar with this, does it go all the way under the intake and do i need to take the intake off to get to the other end of this line? please correct me if im wrong and this isnt a high pressure fuel line. Thanks

from what i can find this is a fuel pulsation dampner hose and bolts to the end of the fuel rail under the plunum and pretty common to start leaking in this generation of truck due to its age i guess, 155 dollars from toyota and its a dealer only part there are aftermarket companies that sell this but no-0ne has found one that fits good and with it being a fuel line i really dont want leaks. looks like i get to take off my intake manifold. yay!
