Marlins clocked adapter
« on: Feb 01, 2005, 10:47:57 PM »
anyone running it? How is the shifter issue? Anything else to think about (tcase guard I suppose)

Looks like a cool toy, I might just have to upgrade from my newly upgraded one  :eyebrow:

I have the MC08 and want to upgrade to the -R10, just to clarify there. BTW I bought my second case all put together from marlin a long long time ago and then I took it to fresno sometime back and Rock and staff did the swap to the 23 spline and the newer billet adapter so I have yet to dig in myself. What is involved in swapping one MC08 for a MC08-R10?

Ok found the article (nice job!)
http://www.marlincrawler.com/docs/crawler_installer/index.html

Won't be quite as much work as doing the whole thing but still a tad o work. All right, whose runnin it??

I don't have it,,still running the mc07,,But I will be getting the clocked adapter real soon..With my set up I think I can get flat belly out of it..I am going to modify my fror t-case mountto take the clocked adapter,,then i should be in the ball park of getting a flat belly skid plate..I could see maybe having to make the chifter longer to my likeing.Seems the shifter is so short as it is that a bend or two might make the stock shifter too short..But that seems like the easy part..I can't wait  :drooling:

I just realized I have the 07 too, so what's the upgrade price to go from the 07 to the clocked bad boy?

If you have a new or nearly new MC07 adapter we will give you 100% credit toward an MC08 or any other purchase.

why would that matter?

As for the crossmember I have built a few, not that hard. Basically build the frame mount part and the part that connects to the rubber tcase mount then play connect the dots with steel. If I get this clocked case I'll be building another  :yesnod:

This one is bolted to a SM420 with one of the first adapters and probably still the only one in a jeep
