Z's smokehouse build thread

Started on the smoke house today. I used untreated 2x4x8s for the framing and I will use OSB for the siding.

man that's small, back in my collage days me and some buds made a smoke hoouse, out in the sticks where no one would find us smoking.

I wish, I knew how to build with masonry. I suppose I should take a class...I would have the king daddy of all smokehouses. I would also love to know how to make sausages (don't get excited brainless) I loves me some salami, sopressata and abruzzeze.

I thought about a masonry smokehouse but it seems to be on the more expensive side over wood.

Definitly more money. I looked into making a cinder block foundation, to run a underground smoke pit, for this one and holy :pokinit: I dont have the cash to do that. If I didnt have to put money in the ol Yoda I might but the truck is top priority. I should be finishing up the siding and floor today.

cinder block's extremely cheap.... atleast it is for me... i used to work for a plant that made 'em.. i can get all that at cost.
