Just found this board looking for some info on a toy box. Yes every toyota needs one im starting to understand.
Im new to the Yota world with an 1983 fj60 but not new to wheeling. I used to be a co owner of Jeepers Off Road here in Salt Lake city but that went south quite a few years ago. Now im a commercial plumber/pipe fitter to pay the bills but still love to wrench on stuff.
I spent a few years competing in UROC when that circuit first started with a guy named Steve Mongumery then Later with Jake Mecham as his spotter. After UROC I competed WeRock With James Andrus as his spotter in the Modified stock class and managed to take 4th place in the western states before calling it quits. Both Jake and James are still competing but alas Im only a hobby wheeler anymore. Its made the sport a lot more fun again.
Currently my rig sits street legal with a spring over and 33" BFG mud terrains.
Lock wrongs front and rear because they are cheap and easy to install lol.
Front bumper and rock sliders made by me because im lucky enough to still have my tubing bender and plasma cutter.
I really need to re gear my axles, toy box or some sort of gear reduction and finish some body armor. But all this will come with time.
