Fuseable links?
« on: Apr 22, 2011, 11:58:59 PM »
Is there a fusable link some where between the battery and the stereo? My stereo is not gettin constant power. It was for the longest time and one day it jus turned off never to turn on again. I have checked the fuses and relays, looked for fried wires, checked connections but nothing. The only thing I don't know like the back of my hand on this truck is the wiring harness. Any clue to what might cause this?

Check the ground, maybe even run one from the radio case to the dash. If you didn't install the radio check and make sure they didn't allow the antenna plug a to serve as the only ground source. I does work but can get intermittent service that way.

Its not broken, cuz I bridged power to it from another hot in the harness. Its just not gettin constant. I installed it and there is a ground to the dash.

Sounds like you may want to find another source.
