This year we are celebrating the 10-year anniversary of rock'n the Rubicon with Marlin Crawler! We are very excited about this years event -- it's gonna be GREAT!!

Registration is now officially open for our 10th Annual Marlin Crawler Round-Up!

Over the past decade, the Marlin Crawler Round-Up has become one of the largest Toyota-based 4WD events in the world. Held every September on the world-famous Rubicon trail, the Round-Up has developed into the premiere trail-ride sponsor for the Rubicon Trail Foundation (RTF), a federally recognized non-profit organization dedicated to the future health of the Rubicon trail.

Each year participants from the Marlin Crawler Community take on the grueling 17-mile Rubicon trail on an epic journey to the beautiful and historic Springs Campground. Part of the uniqueness and excitement of the event is how members from our forum come together for the first time, putting faces to nicknames and getting to see all the build projects in person. The event has attracted forum members from as far away as Florida & Hawaii, as well as international members from Canada, Denmark, Germany, and Australia! Many participants even create shirts & hats with their forum nickname clearly displayed. The real joy of friendly internet personalities coming together for the first time can only be explained by those who have experienced the thrill and excitement first hand.

But the event isn’t only for Marlin Crawler customers and Toyota owners! Rigs of all bolt sizes are always on hand and are sure to turn heads: Datsun 1300s, Isuzu Amigos, International Scouts, Ford Broncos, Willy’s Jeeps, Land Rovers and Mercedes Unimogs. The Round-Up is definitely an open community event! If your rig is Rubicon-capable, then please register today! We’d love to wheel the ‘Con with ya!

This Sept 17 we are celebrating the 10th year of giving back to the Rock Crawling community. Whether you enter the trail from Loon or from Tahoe, get ready for an event to remember! At the Springs Campground Saturday, we will have a Marlin Crawler Nature Hike, Helicopter Rides, a Full Mechanics Repair Station, an R/C Competition, a fantastic Mog Crew Dinner, Unique Awards, and one of the largest Raffles you’ve ever seen. The proceeds from all activities will be donated to the RTF. Last year 36 vendors participated in the raffle and over $11,000 was raised and donated for the Rubicon trail. To date, over $35,000 has been raised and donated to the RTF.

Event Features

The Main Event: The main event will be held Saturday, September 17th at the Rubicon Springs Campground. We strongly recommend all participants arrive at the Springs Campground on Friday or earlier to avoid heavy traffic congestion on the trail. ONLY registrants may camp at the Springs Campground before Saturday without penalty.

Registration: Registration will be limited to 150 applicants. The deadline for early registration is July 15, 2011. In order to get your Grand Prize Ticket (discussed below), you must register before July 15. Late registrations after July 15 will only be available if the rig limit has not been met. There will be additional charges for late registration.

Information Booth: We will have an information booth set up next to the stage beginning Saturday morning. Please stop by & pick-up your registration packet, which includes your exclusive Grand Prize ticket (if registered before July 15), meal ticket(s), t-shirt(s), required camping pass, and dash plaque.

Organized Group Sign-up: A sign-up area on our website will be provided for participants to sign-up with organized groups. If you are traveling alone, we strongly encourage joining a group! Rock Crawling in a group is a great way to meet friendly people, practice trail safety, discover trail ethics, and learn how different rig configurations work!

Grand Prize Raffle: In order to participate in the Grand Prize Raffle, you MUST register before July 15th, NO EXCEPTIONS. Each early registrant will receive (1) Grand Prize Ticket. The Grand Prize Raffle is very exciting with multiple large prizes being offered including an exclusive VIP Marlin Crawler Crew Trail-Ride Event. Grand Prize tickets are ONLY available one per early registration. This means your odds of winning a grand prize is about 1:30!

Toy Connection Mechanics Pit: Should your rig find itself beaten and bruised from the trail, our great friends and excellent mechanics from Toy Connection will have a full repair shop setup at the Mechanics Pit located just south-west of the caretaker’s cabin. Jeff and his team will get your rig back in shape! Donations accepted for the RTF.

Helicopter Rides: Our famous Rubicon Trail Helicopter rides will be held Saturday afternoon and will cost $60/person. Enjoy an unforgettable bird’s eye view as you check out Spider Lake, Buck Island, and the entire Springs area. Please stop at the information booth on Saturday for more information.

R/C Competition: Our 4th Annual R/C Rock Crawl Competition will be held on the granite slabs near the main stage in the Campground. There is a $1 charge per participant which will be donated to the RTF.

This year we are introducing a new "Co-Pilot Package" to get 2 meals and 2 shirts at a reduced price. Also, we have removed the extra charge for the 2XL and 3XL t-shirts, making all t-shirts the same price.

With that discount and the T-Shirt discount we are trying hard to keep this low cost. I realize registration went up a bit again but we seriously are trying to do everything we can to keep costs down. We really are doing a lot more this year in terms of organizing and I am confident that your $ will go much farther compared to previous years

I know other events of this magnitude charge $100 per person or more, and some don't include a free T-shirt. So we've got ya back, literally haha

I really want to make it this year and will probably register just to support the cause anyway. In the off chance I can't make it, is it possible to have the goodies mailed? Alternatively, someone want to volunteer to pick up my stuff for me? $Beer Chug\'n$

Had a blast last time I went and really want to do the RC crawler comp and the Heli ride since we didn't do it at MCR7.
