marlin dual case any way to tell which one i have
« on: Apr 03, 2011, 03:07:55 PM »
I bought a 85 runner with dual cases it has a marlin adapter but not sure what gears are in it. Is there any way to tell which gears you have in the marlin cases.
Thanks

Shift the front case into low and leave the rear case in high, drive it forward. Now put the front case into high and the rear into low and drive it forward. If the results are the same then you would have stock gearing in both cases, if there is a difference then you would have the lower gears in the one that "crawled'.
