Oil Pump

A Machanic friend of mine told me I needed a new oil pump  :psss: truck has a little rattle when it first starts up. :shocking:  Do I go with a yoda pump or is there an aftermarket one that is better ???

ever think that it could be the timing chain?  i don't hear about too many toy oil pumps going out.

my engine's built out of ROCK parts(except pistons, i have ohio dome tops) and they seem to be pretty good quality

Timing chain, sprockets and guides were just put in last summer :down:

Me niether, and if I remember right, you have one of those "lil old lady only drove it to church and back 5 miles each way unil she died" trucks w/o too many miles

 :psss: timing chain,guides & sprockets, were replaced last summer with OEM parts doulble roller chain and sprockets.  :_order: they should not be worn out already....should they ???
