2wd Toyota or body and frame.
« on: Mar 17, 2011, 09:12:09 PM »
I have a 83 Toyota pickup that has seen its whole life in Canada. The frame and body is shot but I love the truck and want to keep it going. I'm on the hunt for parts or a whole 2wd truck. The parts must be in good shape, no holes in frame or body panels, some rust is fine.

I am willing to drive a about 20hrs from the Ontario borderer.

The parts I am looking for are:
Straight Axle Frame
Extended Cab
Short Box
EFI 22re

I would also take a 85 4x4 extended cab pickup, or a EFI extended cab 2wd pickup. Looking to spend under $800 for a truck.

I edit since their seemed to be a lot of confusion.

so are you looking for a truck?

you said extended cab, and 22re, that would be the second generation body style, or a first generation 4runner

I was wanting a EFI to drop into a first gen, Canadian winters make carbs a pain in the ass. Looking for a truck hence the extended cab part.

I already have a 83 but after 20 odd years running in salt the bed, frame and cab is shot. And if I'm driving 20hrs I would like to find as much parts as I can on my way down. Thats why I'm looking for a EFI engine to.

If I could find a 85 with fuel injection and straight axle, that has no drivetrain minus the engine would be the best thing. But chances of that is slim.

HiVoltage, you have a PM.
