Don't you think that's irresponsible to post a picture like that?

I would love to be around to see the big guns go off on a battleship.

My favorite gun I own is the .300 Savage.  I'll post pics later.

The second one down from the top is my favorite .300 Savage, it was my dad's.  I own a newer one, and its not as good as dad's, which was produced in 1932.  Next spring it will be getting a Leopold scope.  (the coolest one to shoot, is the top one, a Winchester .30-30 long tom, with side mounted scope.)

And yes, the third one down is a Model 62 Winchester .22!

I was standing on the flight deck of the USS Kidd 1/4 mile away from the USS Iowa when she let loose a full broadside.......Awesome!  It rocked me back on my feet from a 1/4 mile away.

What kinda scope is on it now?  I ran bushnell for years for cost reasons, and they do the job for the most part, but it's an amazing difference when you put your site through a scope with quality optics!  My burris grabs up so much more light than the bushnell did and well extends my shooting times on either end, to the point that I have to trust my watch more than my eyes now  :haha:

Originally, dad had a Bushnell Banner on there.  It was sighted in when it was installed and it was dead on for over 20 years.  Then it fogged up.  And Bushnell replaced it with their base model 3X9-40.  It is total garbage, I've got two Bushnell 3x9-40's on my 10/22's, and has way better optics.  And dad was never really happy up to his death about the replacement scope.  It bothered him for a long time, and it bugs me to this day that he wasn't happy with it.  So, I want to do it right for him.  To honor him.

I definitely want to get either a Leopold, or a Burris for sure.  I love Leo's for the fact that their headquarters is based little over an hour from me.  And I have a pair of their Windriver 10X40 binoc's, that are incredible.

Definitely great optics, just some really good optics out there for a lot less money, but I'd go the best route for the honor thing
