Rubicon Express 3.5" long arm kit/tires?
« on: Mar 07, 2011, 12:36:20 PM »
I'm planning on putting a 3.5" Rubicon Express long arm lift kit on my wife's keep, it's an 04' wrangler. Wondering what size tire will fit without rubbage?

I'm thinking around a 33, MAYBE 35?

Also anyone know where to get a good price on the full RE 3.5" kit?

Wish I could help you.  Havent made the jump over to the coil set ups yet.  Just kind of old school I guess?  If you have any quistions about leaf spring jeeps, Im your guy.....lol.  Good luck, I do have nothing but respect for the newer stuff.  It just seems to get better and better all the time.

I got my Rubicon Express 3.5 lift from Quadratec.com.  I am not sure on there price now, but five years ago when I put mine on my 98 TJ Saraha I paid around $500 for the lift and shocks.  Good Luck, if you haven't found one already! :)

Oh, that is good to know.  I have not kept up with lifts since I put mine on.  That is too bad, because they made a great product.

I just talked with Rubicon Express last week.  I had heard they sold out to that Wearhouse of ill repute.  I am really impressed with the YJ springs with the reverse eye specifically designed for spring over conversions on leafspring Jeeps.  I talked with someone and questioned them about it.  Although he said the company has been bought, it is still Rubicon Express with the same products.  Unfortunately, they only make the reverse eye spring for the YJ.  I am going to a longer spring for my rebuild. Anyone with a leafspring Jeep really should look into these, I am really impressed.  Just my opinion.....
