Just a heads up:
The plan for the weekend of may 27-29 is going to change a little. :clap2:
We have some people getting off of work and driving friday so we are going to meet on friday afternoon or saturday morning.
The group of will be camping at the Lone Mountain RV Resort just behind the O'brian store and heading off Saturday morning around 10 am. We will be camping at the top of the mountain (Weather permitting) saturday night.

For those of you pulling your rig on a trailer there is a safe place to park it behind the Store or at the campground if you stay there.  :beerchug:

Bring your RC crawler. :yesnod:

The Trail it self is really not that difficult but rocky. A stock rig can make it with a little finesse and a spotter.
I started going up there last year and I enjoyed it so much that I went back four times last summer. If you have never been it is worth going at least once to check it out. I will try and post some pics.

Due to a few other events around the same weekend and by the request of others who are still working on their trucks we will be postponing the trip unitl the last weekend in may. May 27-29 All are welcome.

This will give everybody the chance to get their trucks together. :driving:

jrock

Well that kinda messes things around.

smokeybeans

Yea sorry about that. :hammerhead:  I have had a lot of interest in the trip but about half were bummed that they had other commitments  or their rigs were under construction, you can't always make everybody happy. The 27-29 we will have a larger group and some sweet freshly built rigs. We hope to see everybody there.

We are having a club meeting at E&O bowl in Bluelake on fri april 15@ 5pm

I live an hour away from the trailhead.  I took part of the trail a month or so ago.  It was too snowed in to go very far.  I have two friends here in Crescent City who have taken it.  Their comments about it were almost the same... anything on 31s or bigger can make it but there is plenty of more chalanging stuff.  All the local clubs have a bumper sticker that says, "Im a proud supporter of port orford ceder root rot disease."  Its typical california bull...  I might have three trucks form Crescent City to go.

Nice good to hear!  We now have trucks coming from - Crescent city, Northern and Southern Humboldt, possibly Yreka and Grants pass. Most of the rigs are built toyotas a few stock ones a 4 runner on rockwells a few jeeps a scout and a locked Tracker. This is sure to be an entertaining run.. :yesnod:
