Which is the better tranny?

Which is the better tranny the W56 or the L52HD. I have a W56 and a L52 and I'm going to get a rebuilt one from Marlin but I was wondering which would be the strongest of the two? Thanks.

Probably the W56 but I know Marlin has some trick upgrade to the L52 that makes it pretty beefy.  Talk to Marlin about your options and I would make the decision based on cost vs. strength.

W series is newer. It has all the fixes Ls needed. The HD has those fixes, but it'll  be harder to find parts.

I have a W56 with a lot of hard miles, no issue.
