85 SOLID axle
« on: Jan 13, 2005, 03:26:08 PM »
Hi I was going to sas my 89 4runner, however I am now getting a tacoma.  I have a 85 truck axle is AWSOME condition.  When I recieved it I tore it apart,  EVERY nut.  I bagged out all the hardware every nut, washer, shim, bolt, stud you name it.  I went to the toyota dealership and spent $250 to replace ALL the hardware.  From the wheel studs to the drain plug and its seal.  I cut all the unessary brackets off for a marlin sas kit.  I then painted the axle with POR 15, a non-porius paint cured by humidity.  Somthing like this is worth 700 dollars I am willing to sell it for $500.  It is still not put together and you will need to purchase these parts to finish it.  All the parts are available on marlins site.
- Vented rotors
- Billet High Steer Crossover Arms
* Both the above items come in marlins sas kit
- Knuckle Service Kit  $85
- (2) Wheel Bearing Kits $80
- 3rd member bear kit $90
- ring and pinion gear set

Thats it I live in harrisburg penslyvania if anyone is interested I can post photos of parts email me at N64man5041@aol.com

When you come back down to earth with your price give me a shout.
You can get 85 front axles complete for $75-$100 in any junk yard. Add the $250 in parts(which is high) and you still come up with $350 which I will not pay.
If you want to sell it then get real.  :bull crap:

You can make an offer.  I must have got RIPPED off I payed 400 for the dam thing and I was told by people 300 was reasonable.  Anyway Like I stated it is in like new condition.  If anyone wants an axle I would jump on it.  I will lower the price.
