Hey guys,
Specs:
1988 and a half/1989 Suzuki Samurai
5 speed
1.3 i4 Carb.
Spartan Rear Locker
Me and my buddy just got done droping the tranny to put a new clutch in and we have a problem now. The clutch works perfectly now but we took it for a test drive and it was shifting fine then it got hard to get into gear so a little more pressure got it into first. Now it got stuck in first so we got it home and took the shifter off. It looks like the bolt that kept the shifter from turn got sheared off so we replaced that and tried to pull it out of gear to no avail.
We think that the bolt head that got sheared off somehow made its way down into where the fork goes and is jaming it up. BUt other than that we are stumped. We tried fishing it out but no luck. Any ideas guys?
side note: the transfer case shifts into 2wd, and 2wd hi/low no problem so we ruled that out!
