instead of fuel pressure regulator?
« on: Dec 31, 2010, 10:56:05 PM »
Howdy all, instead of running a fuel pressure regulator anybody try to "neck" down (pun intended) the fuel line I have a couple extra line to line butt connectors, thinking of going down in 1/8" increments from the pump to the carb?  (22R desmogged weber 32/36)

Might save me $20 anyone think it'll work, done it???

No.

You'll restrict flow and pressure.

If you lower the pressure enough at idle so that you won't flood out the carb, you'll never get enough fuel at WOT.

Necking something down will increase the pressure, lessen the volume, think fire nozzle.
