Here's a picture of the most important upgrade one can do to their Diesel truck.  A proper set of gauges to monitor Exhaust Gas Temperature and Boost.  If you have an Automatic transmission, you'll need a Trans Temp Gauge too...

Both of my gauges are Autometer units, although I really wish I'd spent the money on the nicer Isspro gauges.  They're mounted in a clip-on Autometer pillar pod that I haven't gotten around to painting to match yet.  Oh, and yes, that boost gauge reads to 30psi...even though my old truck can't handle more than 12psi...  Wishful thinking, I suppose...
