Is it wired right? are you using the right plug? Start with a test light and start checking the plug on the truck to make sure its right.
Dr.Maxwe001 – well i have a 15 gal compressor now and if I gett he 60  and then use the 15 as a reserve that wil give me 75 gal  thats close to 80 isnt it ?

My toyota has a wire for the following (lighting only):

1.  taillights
2.  left turn
3.  right turn
4.  brakes
5.  ground

Trailers combine functions (lighting only):

1.  taillights
2.  left turn & brake
3.  right turn & brake
4.  ground

So you need a converter box so that when you hit the brakes  2 & 3 at the trailer turn on
and
if you hit a turn signal the proper side blinks (brake on or off)

Without the converter box, things will be screwy.

Also a BAD ground on the trailer will make things screwy.

I just bought the kit from napa, pretty easy, you just pull your tail lights off and un plug the wires, feed the leads up and plug them into your tail lights and then plug you harness back in to those connectors, then ground it, use extension if needed.

So should I say you need a converter box too?  :gap:

i had a converter box in the runner already (was not working) so i used some diodes and got them working enough for the day. then went and got a new converter box deal and rewired it and it works

thanks for all the help
