1st gen fo sho, its the closet to a truck (when the top is down it basically is) 2nd gens are heavy in comparison and with 4 doors they are more suitable for grocery shopping than wheeling (youre welcome Mikey) I still wouldnt mind a 3rd gen on tons and 49"s in the snow...

imo..

I would absolutely say first gen! I just started building an 86 and I must say the removable top out ways any argument that can come from a second gen lover $That\'s Gay$ ! 22re comes in both so you cant really use that as leverage against the first gen

! solid axle runners are getting out of control expensive

so a SAS is most likely going to be needed! that is my biased opinion!

well if its about what motor that they come with, then I would have to say 3rd gen, they got either a 2.7 3rz or the 3.4 v6. and the fact that I own one kinda makes me lean that way, I went from I 3rd gen truck to a 3rd gen runner, and yeah its noticibly heavier, and the extra glass sucks to, but thats what I get for building a family wheeler. even though its heavy and what not, I still love it, 97 runner 3rz sas with 60's and 39.5 Iroks w56 and ultimate duals.

I am an owner and a fan of the 2nd gen runners. I like to play in the mud, snow and rain in between playing in the rocks on sunny day's.

Ya but look how much cooler your buddies looks than yours!! HA HA lol So ya think your cooler than me..... HA HA sorry bout that getting carried away... Your 2nd gen runner is pretty sick man, my uncle has a 2nd gen that is pretty dope that does good. We use it for mountain lion hunting mostly!!

Few of my unkles 2nd gen thats pretty dope!! It krawls good too i guess!! Last pic the little kid did have his seat belt on, it was off just for the photo opp. Winch is hooked up so nothing was going anywhere... Just lettin ya know so i don't have to hear bout it for no seatbelt from some of ya!!! !HAHA

thanks man! My bro usually drives it crawling and my uncle drives it in the winter! Its in really good shape for a 91 but now it has a few dents from crawling. Nothing real major though, that spot in the pics got the door a bit!!
