« on: Oct 13, 2010, 10:44:20 PM »
just swapped in 63 chevies in the rear of my first gen runner, its the four leaf pack with no overload. it came out sittin a little tall for my liking i was wondering if anyone has has run just a three leaf pack in their runner? if so does  it work out ok? or should i stick with four. my top will be on almost all the time and im probably gonna add a spare tire carrier and a 37 inch spare.   thanks

I have a 83 pickup with the three leaf pack. I don't have a shell on it, but once I get it loaded up with all my gear, my buddies gear, and beverages; it is definitely a little squated.  I'm not sure how heavy the 4runner tops are but I think I would stay with the 4 pack.
83 pickup, 4.88s, chevys in rear, RUF, Dual Transfers, flat belly, 3RZ swap, disc brake x4, rollin on 36" irocs

IF YOU SEE A 20' PAC WEST/CARSON FLAT BED TRAILER FOR SALE CHECK OUT THE STOLEN SECTION.  IT MIGHT BE MINE!!!!

keep the 4, they will break in after a trip or two and probably settle right where you want them...I'm actually going to have to throw another leaf in mine as they have softened up too much over the past year.
