Topic: buddies 88 ifs lift

this is another buddy of mine that is lifting his truck. he has an 88 runner with a v6 and 5speed. doesnt have his liscense yet just getting it built for when the time comes in april. anyway hes not into rock crawling or whatever so he just got a superlift ifs lift. today we(me) did the rear end. pretty fun. tomarrow we tackle the front.

so if any of u guys have experience with doing the ifs can ya toss up some pointers. its a little over wellming in there. also does the locktight get lots of use? am i going to be cutting?

when we did the ifs lift on my buddies truck, its hard to align it when its all done, have at least 2 extra friends with you, alot of budwieser jack stands, containers to seperate new hardware in, and  a big freakin baseball bat so your friend could hit himself in the head  when he goes wheelin and decides to go SAS...... Wasnt really that hard.. just took about 6 hours...

well i just want to get it all bolted up. whe u mean align. like aligning the tires or am i gonna be in there measuring left and right to get it fit? i just want to get it bolted up and let him take it to the alignmest shop

yah thats what i meant... its a pita to do it... id just take it to the alignment shop....

yeah anyway i hate this ifs crap. such a pain in the ass to work on. i only worked on the truck for 2 hours today because it started to get late and it got dark really early today. anyway in that time all i got done was get the lower control arms hanging and get the front crossmember off. dont have pics..camera's battery died
