also if your valve cover gasket is squished too far down, you will have the rocker arms knocking on the splash gard inside the valve cover. had it happen to me one time

Went with stock cam settings and it clattered with the bigger came. Dropped to a snug .007 and .011 and it's quiet and smooth!
