yea, you can either use part of your cable one and marlin's kit

or there were a few toyotas that came with a gear case and pulse speedo, so there is a factory part, but spendy

I have been running my marlin kit for 2 years with no problems.

edit: there are a few other that make one too, i think inchworm and sky maybe?

So my truck is a 93 and had a gear case, so am I correct that I could beg for my original one back and just bolt it in!? That would be SWEEEET!

Some of the later models 4 cylinders came with a chain drive t-case, but I think most came with a gear drive case. If it was a gear drive case, why did you get rid of it?

You had a forward shift before? If your sure it was a chain case then it should work. They look similar though. im real happy with my marlin unit. and you probably know someone with half a cable unit they don't need if you don't have one.

I thought I identified it as a gear case before, but I could be wrong? I'll go pull the vss off and just see if it fits, that oughta tell me all I need to know it sounds like.
