Topic: My 4runner wont start without major problems

well i left my lights on this morning and came out from work to a dead battery. So i walked next door to wally world and had them charge/test it. Turns out it was faulty and i got a brand new one swapped out for free... so thats one less thing to worry about.
starter was still clicking with the new battery but i'll let you know in the next few days how it reacts.

good thing they replaced it, gotta love walmart. Sounds like if its the new battery its gotta be ur starter when they get old and really go out they click, my bro-n-laws 4runner had that problem for over a year, his starter was toasted, just give it a hard hit with the hammer wen it does it, if ur not gonna replace it soon. GL

yeh, its the starter now b/c its still clicking on me. but the new battery helped a little. Im wanting to go get a starter rebuild kit like was mentioned earlier...

Being intermittent, I would check to make sure that you have all grounds and that they are good shape. My truck would not fire (like in the video) or ran like crap until I added a ground from driver side wiring harness to the engine block behind the distributor cap.  I looked through the posts, but did not see, but is this a 22re?

yes it is a 22re... its starting much quicker than in the videos but not first try like i'd prefer.
