New Product - Five Pattern Flanges!
« on: Jun 10, 2010, 11:51:57 AM »
Marlin Crawler is proud to release the world's first Five Pattern Flange. Working with our friends at Inchworm, this flange was created with 16 holes comprising of 5 different flange bolt patterns that accommodate 18 different driveline bolt pattern applications.

The five patterns include: 60mm x 60mm, 64mm x 56mm, 66mm x 66mm, 68.3mm x 60mm, and 70mm x 61.5mm.

The 18 different applications include:

    * FJ40 63-8/69 fine spline differentials
    * FJ40 8/69-1/74 fine spline differentials
    * FJ40 1/74-8/84 fine spline differentials
    * FJ40 78-80 4spd t/case front output shaft
    * FJ60 1/74-8/84 differentials
    * FJ60 9/84+ differentials
    * RN Hilux 79-83 differential and rear t/case output shaft
    * RN Hilux 79-83 front CV driveshaft
    * RN Hilux 84+ differentials and non-CV driveshaft
    * RN Hilux 84-95 front CV driveshaft
    * RN Hilux 84-95 front CV driveshaft drilled out
    * RN Hilux 86-87 Turbo differentials and t/case outputs
    * VN Hilux 88 differentials and t/case outputs
    * VN Hilux 88-95 front CV driveshaft patterns

In addition to the it's amazing compatibility, Marlin Crawler redesigned the flange with thicker walls: 35% thicker than a stock Toyota flange and 38% larger than the common aftermarket triple drilled flange. Please consider the below image:

As you can see, this new 5-27 (five pattern, 27-spline) Marlin Crawler Flange is 38% thicker than the common triple drilled flange and also includes inner and outer chamfering  to maximize strength. Just look how BEEFY our flange is compared to the other flanges!

Check this out: When we put our 30-spline Chromoly output shaft into Team Home Grown Racing's XRRA Competition Buggy (pictured above), they blasted Tundra V8 torque through a stock Toyota V8 Tundra flange attached to our 30-spline output shaft and managed to blow it apart!

Here are the remains of their factory Tundra V8 flange attached to our 30-spline Chromoly output shaft:

Now they are running our 5-30 (5-pattern 30-spline) flange and have never looked back. Our products are so strong that we are discovering new weak-links and taking care of them by offering only the strongest and highest quality products on the market.

Regards,
BigMike

YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE
AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU HAVE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

Are you talking about the Marlin triple drilled flange or somebody else's ?

Toymin8r,

These are 27-spline versions whereas your 4Runner uses 30-spline flanges. We have already designed the 30-spline version "5-30 flange" (5-patter 30-spline) and have included some prototype flanges with some 30-spline Chromoly output shafts, but are waiting for the initial shipment to come in so we can supply Tacoma, 4Runner, and Tundra trucks. :thumbs: They should be available later this year.

Are you talking about the Marlin triple drilled flange or somebody else's ?
Heh :smack: whoops! Yes, it refers to our triple drilled flange as well. That was my first version of identifying the triple drilled flanges but I then changed it to read "common aftermarket" (see the cut away image) which is less offensive to other vendors. Thanks for catching that, I've updated this thread as well as our website! :thumbs: We do know that our triple drilled flanges use better material than a certain other company, but why even promote them when the new flange design is way much better? That was the original mindset.

Mike
