I haven't seen any real feedback about the Aussie V6 model XD24930 yet. I just started installing one so I thought I'd share.
I put a 4cyl Aussie in my son's truck a couple years ago and it still works great so I thought I'd get one for my V6 rear diff.
Installation is pretty straight forward and it came with good, easy to follow instructions. They have specific tolerances that must be checked and within specs.
Mine are on the tight side (just below minimum) and I was concerned so I contacted Torq Masters by e-mail. They responded right away and had one of their techs call me at home. After speaking with him I was assured it would be OK to run. To loosen it up, I would have to either come up with some thinner side gear thrust washers or have them machined about .005. The ones I have are .038.
Anybody else run into this or know if Toyota has thinner thrust washers? If you get one and it is on the tight side I would still check with Torq Masters before installing it just to be sure you don't void your warranty.
I was also putting in a solid pinion bearing spacer and found my pinion bearing beginning to pit so I'm waiting on a diff setup kit. Once I get it installed I'll update this post.
Got it installed..........FINALLY! Working good. No problems unlocking with the tight clearances. About the same as the 4 cyl version as far as feel and noise.
