Can a 3.0 v6 from a camry be used in a truck or 4-runner?

The Camry is a FWD, so no it wont work.  If it would have, people would have opted for the Camry 3.0 instead of the 3.4, due to the original high costs of used 3.4's.

From what I understand the only thing the 3vze and Camry 3vzfe have in common is the base size of the block/height of the engine, but not the blocks themselves.  Every major component of the two engines have different order numbers, even the crankshafts are different, so it would appear that the transaxle set-up for the 3vzfe makes it impossible to use it with a rear wheel drive train.

If you are looking for a cheap repair, it would be better to just rebuild the 3.0 you have now, unless of course the block/heads are beyond repair.
