sas instal near san jose

i just got my parts in for my sas on my 89 4runner but now i cant get a hold of the guys that were going to do the swap for me. anyone out there that might know who can do the install at a reasonable price near san jose? i know there are some shops here but i checked with one and it was crazy expensive.

your beter off getting someone that can show YOU  what to do   good leaning experience and you will know what you got  and how to fix it on the trail  :thumbs:

Im sure you could do everything yourself as far as cutting the ifs off, rebuilding the axle, etc..

The only recommendation to me is if you plan to do this yourself and you have no welding experience, then find someone who is good at welding to do that part for you.

i would like to do it myself, especialy since i'm a tig welder at work but i live in an apartment and do not have the plasma or welder at home, plus im sure there are some :crossed: tricks to the instal that comes with experience. so i can still use some help on this. thanks for the replies.

My advise:
Have your axle completely ready to go before you start cutting off your ifs, in order to minimize downtime on your rig.
You could take your frame jigs and tubes somewhere and cut the holes in the frame and center them and weld them.

I have seen guys weld on their front hangar before they cut their ifs off, but i wouldn't recommend it.  I like to see the shackle angle before i fully weld the front hangar on.

I didn't have a plasma when i did mine, and i rented a welder.
I used a sawzall, and an angle grinder to cut my ifs off.
It wasn't horrible, but did take some time.

Paying a shop to do it sounds really expensive, if you have the skills to do it then you should, well i think so anyways.
