I took the Sunrader out the last 2 weekends in a row. Went to Riley Creek on the Pend Oreille river the first weekend and to the north fork of the Coeure d'alene river last weekend. On the latter trip, I went up 4th of July pass and was very pleased to crest the top at 40mph and modest throttle, that is full of water and gear. To those who are unfamiliar, that's a 6% grade about 3 or 4 miles long. I was even more impressed that at the end of the trip I calculated my mileage at 16+. Totally worth the lack of power to me. It's kinda funny though, it pretty much hits an aerodynamic wall at about 60/65 on flat ground. It's like trying to pass the sound barrier.

There is a guy on a toy motorhome forum that is planning to put 60's and an r151f tranny under his smaller sunrader.
I have a question, my mororhome is a great deal heavier than any factory toyota mini ever was, and granted is a bit underpowered, but the automatic trans survives just fine. Why does no one use the 4 cyl/automatic combo in crawlers? It seems like it would be ideal for a trail rig, especially with duals.
