help with brakes

brakes are getting hard when i go to stop the brake pedal is hard as :pokinit: and the way to brake them loose, is to loose the bleeder nut and then there fine for a little bit.... I replaced the master cycler and caliper's...

What could it be???

have the right brake fluid maybe drain it and put new fluid not sure though just throwin something out there. check brake lines?

maybe its the rear proportioning valve above the rear axle acting up. it adjusts the stiffness of the brakes by judging by the sag in the rear caused by a load. if its busted it might be causing your problem

So your brakes are locking up and not releasing or is it just hard to apply the brakes or both?

yes it has a brake booster and it's a 87 pickup ext cab with a 22re efi

If the pedal is extremely hard to push I would say check the vac line to the booster and the booster itself.  If the brakes are locking up and sticking is it the front or rears?  My wife's 86 Runner had a problem with the rear drums being so rusted the ebrake "arms" on the axle housing would not spring back when you released the parking break and the ass end would be locked up until you gave it Gas and popped the brakes loose a bit.  Needless to say she has all new brakes now.

Bad master, or wrong master. My 86 did this after I replaced my master the cylinder was the wrong one and it caused it to lock up like it had micro locks there is a valve inside that will slide all the way forward and not return thus locking the front brakes.

I had a similar problem with my rig. I replaced everything and could never get rid of it for good.
