so a couple of years ago i bought a long travel kit with 6 inch springs. ive installed it on my truck and right off the bat it was way to tall. i was hoping that with a couple of trips they would settle down. they havent. i pulled three leafs out of the front and rear packs. all ive managed to do is make the truck the same high but it cant handle a 50 lbs duffle bag in the back. any ideas i dont want to buy different springs.

how long are your shackles?

maybe 5inches from bolt to bolt.

looks around 28-30 just a wild guess..

It doesn't look too bad.  Just your shackle angle isn't right!!  They should be kicked back a bit.  Not straight up and down.  They almost look like they are kicked forward a touch.  Slide them shackle perch forward a bit, and that might relax the rear springs.



And why does your rig look like its taking a wizz in those pics??

it snowed a few daysbefore they were taken. i was hoping that with pulling a few leafs the shackle angle would change. and yes it sits straight up and down. the allpro install instructions suck. i have new rear shackle mounts coming. im also dumping the boggers. i no longer have a trailer for the long trips so it needs to be a little more road worthy

Inboard the rears so they sit up higher on the frame. And trade someone your front springs for some 4". Thats what i would do.

if i go inboard i would have to move the gas tank. im trying to find someone to trade me for some 4" springs
