lets see what you all are upgrading too and why. i'll start 91 tbi  4.3 lots of performance mods on a complete rebuild why ? because my 4 cyl wasn't cuttin it at 5200 feet and the 4.3 is an adaptable motor with lots of support

1995 lexus 2jz 3.0 inline 6.

puled out a 3.0v6 because.....well, why leave it there

chose this because it will EASILY make twice the HP and torque, while allowing 25+mpg and smog compliance...and cause its dead sexy.....expensive though

Lexus SC400 4.0 aluminum v8

YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE
AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU HAVE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

Before and after.....  I like my 4.3 but next time I'll use a V8. It has the power but has to work too hard for it when your pushing snow with the axles or trying to pull a hill in the sand.  You have to watch your gear reduction with a auto trans tho. I had to pull out my 4.7's because the brakes wouldn't hold it in low on level ground at a idle and I didn't like shifting to neutral every time I wanted to stop.

attitude of gratitude

I liked my 22re. And I still have. But I love the 3.4. It runs great and plenty of power.
