As far as UPS or FedEx goes- The weight is gonna be the killer. Drain it REALLY good and wrap it in shrink wrap, then put it in a crate or rubbermaid bin if you can find one big enough. The torque converter is a signifigant part of the weight, you might be better off shipping it separately, also separate the t-case if it's a 4WD unit. 70lbs is usually the point when they charge more for overweight. I have always got better rates from FedEx for big heavy stuff, even more so when I set up an account (doesn't cost anything and only take a few minutes). Hope that helps.
