My Latest Tow Rig
« on: Dec 26, 2009, 10:05:15 PM »
Got me a new tow rig for Christmas, a 1996 Ford (be quiet FFC) F350 Rollalong dually with a 5th wheel. Too dark tonight to take a pic I'll post it up tomorrow.

I got the pictures today, it's a really clean truck has a 460 in it but it really didn't do that bad on gas for the trip home.

I picked up a little slide in to put on the back of my truck, usually a fullsized slide in makes your truck look small my truck makes the slide in look like a camper shell. I'll get some pics up soon.

I'll bet...the guy that came up with the paint scheme has had to find a new job.  :ack:

What was the fuel mileage and how long was the trip?

Very clean engine compartment...Little old lady from Pasadena?

The paint job is a custom by Roll-A-Long, they take them stock and build them up to enhance the GVWR. They also did the graphics and interiors on them, mine even has air-ride seats. It’s life has been a sheltered one, always a tow rig for a 5th wheel camper, it was a Little old Lady and man from Pasadena for sure, actually Camarillo. As to the Mileage I just insert my credit card in the pump and leave it there, it’s easier that way. :gap: Currently it is Campfire Girls DD when I’m not home since I take the Camry so it is still driven by one. I Still haven’t taken the pics of it with the camper on it since family issues came up. Might get around to it this week and post them. The duals are still wider than the camper on it, I have to take off the front legs to slide it in.

Air ride seat! I didn't know they had them for smaller trucks...sweet riding on long trips.

Is Rollalong an upfitter?

Does quite well, right now I've got a slide in camper on it and except for seeing it in my mirrors I wouldn't know it's even there.

Yeah they take stockers and do all kinds of upgrades to the suspension, paint and interiors. It was done through Ford so it didn't even mess with the warranties. They also did stuff to the fullsize Broncos too. My trucks VIN shows as a 96 but the reg shows as a 97 like what happens to motorhomes. These were licensed through Ford.

Finally I thought to take pictures with the camper on it, and now that I've done that I want to sell it. Looking to get $5500.
