Topic: Help need with starting when cold out (cold start issue 3.0)

Hi well this year I broke down and replaced the cold start injector and the switch.
Still no different $360. bucks and no improvement.

What I am wondering is how the two are tied into each other. I have a Haynes manual
and dosent cover the 3vze in the wiring diagram to CPU.  If I go by the 22R layout they both have one pin that ties into the CPU. Help. Had it in dealer 3 years ago and got socked for 3500. Yes the cpu was replaced, and lots of other stuff.

Any info would be appreciated.

The original time sensor 79.6 ohms at room temperature, put in beer fridge freezer it bottomed out at 40.2 Ohms. Respectively between the base and one pin i got 80 Ohms off pin  B was 160 between base and pin 2.

Gas wont atomize at cold temps. You need a block heater, to get the gas back up to normal operating temp

Im not sure about the 3.0 but I have the 22re and the coolant temp sensor is something that can cause that problem as well. In the mean time, pick up some starter fluid and pop the intake tube off and spray some through the TB, pop the tube back on and it will fire right up. Saves you, your starter and your battery.

Have you popped the cold start injector off and reversed it to see if it's spraying at all?

Replaced it with new one, replaced coolant timing sw, checked coolant sensor as well, (not one to cluster) Need to check for fuel with injector. One buddy of mine is betting me the fuel pressure is low but I dont think so New toyota fuel pump installed 2 years ago.
Running K and n open oil servicable filter avoiding the starting fluid.

At 20 below the gas will have a hard time vaporizing. You burn vapor not liquid.

Crank on it when it's cold for a second or 2, then pop the hood and crack the cold start line (12mm) to make sure you got fuel pressure. If you don't jumper B+, Fp and try cranking on it.

You are the man I have been looking for something this comprehensive. This should really help, everything I have found is to the 22R or RE.
