I thought it was time to make a build thread here. Ive been asked a few times as well.

Well its about time I started a build thread and where else better then here

. A few specs its 1991 Toyota reg cab V6..yeah thats right V6 :thefinger: It is currently IFS with 3" lift and 33's. The plan is to solid axle it put it on 40's duals lockers all the goods etc etc.

Got some work done on it these past few days

Eric (FJ40Forlife) welded these on for me...(lets hope the welds last) :lol: jk bro

I dumped the old bench seat and threw these in there..ive been driving with them unbolted because they sit too high up and I need to tweek with them to fit.

Worked on the rig this past weekend
So we got the axle under,Eric welded everything that was tacked, and plated the open engine mounts

Got a shackle angle, should be better once broken in and the frame is level but we did get some weight on it

Got the steering box mocked up in its new location, shouldnt have a problem with the Tie Rod and Drag Link

Here's how it looked at the end of the day, tire all mounted up. We accomplished a 107ish wheelbase WITHOUT touching the rear 8)

All in all Im pretty happy with the progress. Oh yeah sorry about the crappy cell pics

Thanks Al, i have a set of 4" allpro's in my shed i was thinking about selling. I thinking about stepping u to 39.5s, right now im running 37s with 3" TG's.. I might have to put the 4" springs back on when i got up in tire size.

Idk if you've seen MIDGETS rig its an orange sec gen, he has a build on here as well. I believe he runs 39.5 with 3" springs too and he has a pretty sick stance to it. If it works for you, sell the 4's and you can get some cash to fund the 39.5's haha.

Thanks bro, i will check out his build. Im curious on how my runner will do driving around town with a 4cyl.. Its not my daily driver,but i do drive to the trails and trailer depending where im going.

I am still planning on stretching the rear 3"-4" HOPEFULLY if everything goes right but keeping the same bed, im kinda broke to buy another one

and Ill Pass, ive seen what youve done to MTR's and your gonna scratch the pretty paint job on the rings

There's nothing wrong with them I think they are way more comfy then my corbeaus and look nice but im 6FT...well 5'11''

and I would almost hit the roof sometimes but if I could have got them to work it would have been sweet.

Wow, what a small world. I've know Jesse for about 10 years. Now he lives about 2 miles from my house. He used to go wheeling with us back when he had 35"s. He has hit me up to go to the Hammers with him a couple of times, but i sold my Jeep and bought a runner and i havnt put a cage in it yet.

No way , that's awesome . Jesse's a cool cat . He got out of the wheeling scene for a while and got back into it . No, the only Dave Navarro i know is from Jane's Addiction...hahaha. Ya he hit me up to do the Rubicon Trail with him, but i just got back from the Dusy a week prior. I know Troy from Hillside(Cal Mini) Jay King and Eric really well, in fact i used to do there smogs for them. Jesse is a cool guy, sometimes a little mixed up, but all in all a ok guy. I now remember how i reconized your advitar.. did you advertise Jesse's truck on the Pirate board? I going to start building a EXO cage for my runner in about 3 weeks. I wont have it done for the Hammers on new years because of my work schedule, but i will get done soon...Well if you talk to Jesse anytime soon, you can tell him that Sean from Frito Lay said he is Gay!!! hahaha
