22RE Fast idle on a switch - Help
« on: Oct 23, 2009, 09:52:00 PM »
I am installing a York 210 compressor like the one Marlin uses for an onboard air system.  My truck normally idles around 750 RPM and the York compressor is recommended to work best at 1000-1200 RPM's.  I know their is some kind of fast idle circuit that is used for the air conditioning.  Does anyone know how I can tie into it with a switch on my dash?

Thanks,

Mike

why not use a pull choke set up? on the throttle
you could use it for wheeling also.

Just tap into the AC solenoid that increases the idle speed for the AC.

Should be easy with a wiring diagram

Hand throttle works better. The way my OBA is set up I use the A/C switch to turn it on and off, it idles up but not enough. I use the hand throttle to bring it up to about 1200 RPM's
