Why? Everyone I know that did it went to through the frame mounts sooner or later, most of them sooner.

1. They are rock anchors.

2. Bad pinion angle.

3. Bad caster angle.

Do it right and go through the frame, if it was good enough for Toyota it should be good enough for you.

ive done the under the frame mount with the stock yota rear shackle hanger, ive had no problems, and the leafs are flat enough that the pinyon angle is good.
its on my daily driver.

I out my shackles under the frame when i put a solid axle in my truck. I bought MC rear shackles hanger and put rear springs up front so they flattened out a lot and i ended up running a 3.5"  shackle (stock rear shackle)
