Couple from my trip right now.  Photobucket is only recognizing my pics that are in JPEG and not in RAW format.   :maddest:  Since I took over 1000 pictures at Yellowstone.  But until then, here's a few teaser shots till then.  That and I had a few spots how up on my sensor, and I didn't know it till I got home.  Some I'm gonna try to clean them up, if I have patience for it.

I wish I had more time to compose my pictures, but I was off the cuff with 90% of them, so there are times I was standing in a hole.     Or the lighting was bright, since I was shooting at all hours of the day.  My polarizer filter helped, but not like I hoped.  I did find out that the sulfur steam isn't good on your lens either   Glad I didn't spend alot of $$ for it.  There are permanent spots on it now.

And one of my favorites

I was just there a month ago...

Also tried my hand at some action photography at Huckfest in Pismo...Its pretty tricky trying to pull focus on these guys while theyre flying by. (of course I had to get Bonzen's supercharged 3.4 TRD)

Thanks... yes its intentionally overdone with the cross process and vignette. I really need to get my sensor cleaned and in the meantime i kinda do stuff like that to mask the dust and crap that shows up.

Just shoot with your largest aperature (or anything under f8 should work)

I do... Im sick of shooting everything at around f4, especially when I want some more depth of field. Have you tried any of those bulb type sensor cleaners yourself Mini? I'm more temped to just take it in to a camera shop and have a professional do it.

Do not do, until you have read it all. This is high risk, but you can do it. It's what I do.

My silhouette shots.  The last day there the thunderheads really rolled in and gave some really dramatic composition.  They looked awesome, until they unleashed on us.  I got used to shooting in bright daylight, and when the clouds rolled in and darkened everything, I had to try to compensate for it.  The rivers and valleys turned out really dark, so I turned my attention to the clouds and the tree lines.

More geysers

Mud pots are super stinky!!  :outtahere:

Rivers and waterfalls

Wildlife, I got more, but this is all I'm able to get into Photobucket right now

I really like this one.

Kyle, I spendt 4 days there, and I barely touched the tip of the iceberg.  I filled 4 flash cards (2GB) in RAW mode, just at Yellowstone alone.  Each one had roughly 300-350 shots each card.  I want to go back really bad already.  You gotta go man.  When you do, I can give ya some tips.

The last photo is awesome! It would have been great if the little puddle at the bottom if it had more of a reflection of the snag in it also.

IMO it might even look a little bit better with a little crop. It *almost* seems a little too centered up for my taste. Its still a great photo though!
RIP Kyota.... you are the man

Thanks Lilbuddy.  I could have spent an entire day, just photgraphing Mammoth Hot Springs.  But I took most of my pictures off the fly, cause there was so much to see and do there.  And I still didn't see everything.  Let's just put it this way, Yellowstone is a Photographers paradise.  Kyle would be walking around with a permanent stiffy.  I was taking pictures of one thing, and then turn and find something else equally cool to shoot.  And then the wife and kids are screaming at me to lets go!!!

I'll post of my on the fly pictures later.  There were times the wife wouldn't let me stop to photograph so I had to get them out the window of the van, while moving.  I have this montage of my trip through the windshield of the family cruiser!!  :rofl2:

Hey, this is Cheesemaker's wife, he just had me watch the engagement video and told me you were looking for a critique.  I thought it was done really well and the music choice was excellent.  If I had to make any suggestions, it would be these:

Leave the still photos on the screen a little longer, they seem to flash by too quickly.  I think some of the video time could be sacrificed (in particular the shot/shots over the flowers, it is kind of grainy) in order to give the still shots more screen time.

Also, I would leave the writing (Love is patient, etc) until the very end because it feels like an odd placement since there is no other text on the screen until the very end.  It kind of messes up the pacing.

Besides those couple of small things, it was just beautiful!  :)

Wow, I think you just captured a display of a phenomenon. You should copy write it and use it to become independantly wealthy as I'm sure no one else was able to capture this fluke of the universe as you did. ;)

Awesome manip btw :)

Maybe a person who loves Science Fiction.  But me,  :shake_head:

It's very creative, but not my cup of tea Kyle.

On a side note, you should give me the must go places in San Francisco.  Cause we are going to go see LaDawna next summer, and do the touristy things.  And of course I'm gonna have my camera in tow.
