1990 Toyota 4runner, 22re, $1500
« on: Aug 20, 2009, 07:08:49 PM »
1990 Toyota 4runner
22re 4cyl
Automatic Transmission
2wd
127,457 miles

Interior:
Fully loaded
Power windows (working)
Power doors (working)
Sunroof (not working for unknown reason)
Tilt wheel
Rear heat (working)
CLEAN interior
Cruise control
Theres the usual wear and tear on the driver side seat from getting in and out
does not have AC, previous owner took it out for some reason

Exterior:
In good condition, minor dents here and there
Tinted windows
Power Mirrors
Tires have decent tread
Has aftermarket wheels
Stock Toyota running boards
Has an alarm but not sure if it works (have the keyfob too)

Drivetrain:
Motor is blown. Im pretty positive its just the timing chain that needs replaced. I was told the head gasket blew too but I dont know for sure (I got it in the condition that it is in) I was told the tranny worked fine and did not slip at all

I got the 4runner in the condition it is. My plan was to take my old running gear and swap it into this truck and put my 1ton axles under it. So far in the motor bay the radiator has been pulled, tranny lines have been pulled, intake (not the manifold) has been pulled. I started taking things out to swap the motor in but decided I want to go a different rout. I do have a GREAT running 22re that has a cleaned out intake manifold, new injectors and new timing chain that I could sell also with this. Also, I have all the parts it will take in order to swap it over to a 5spd AND I have a 4wd G-series transmission that I could sell also with the 4runner (if interested) Like I said, I was going to build it to rock crawl beacuse its the perfect platform. I can also swap in the new motor with the 2wd tranny for a right amount of money.

The only reason this thing is in the condition it is (motor) is that a guy was driving it up from San Diego to go to Humboldt County and the motor blew up in Sac. The registration on it is past due since 2008 (so not too bad) and I have all the paperwork to get a new title with the previous owners signatures.

I have it for sale for $1500. Shoot me an offer.

IT WILL NEED TOWED HOME! It does roll and will go into Neutral and roll, but is not drivable. It is located in Chico CA

This rig is screaming some serious potential.  I wish I had the money dude!  I'd love to have this, but I'm broke.
