The new camper...
« on: Jul 17, 2009, 08:45:33 AM »
Well as time goes by you get tired of sleeping on the ground, and loading and unloading everything in and out of the truck for a quick camping trip..

So it has come time to buy a camper...So here she is, a 1985 model 1901 Rockwood.

Got her all hooked up and on the way home....Karen seems very happy...

The new camper.. Part 2

She sets up nice and easy, and looks nice..

I've got a few things to fix on it but first things first...Got to get the safety chains fixed up with some new snap-hooks, I also had to crack all the gas lines from the tanks to the stove, furnice, and the Fridge.  I had a plugged line right off one of the tanks that had to be fixed. The furnice is ac/or Gas, and the fridge is three way ac/dc/gas.  Trouble is that there are no batteries or wiring for storage batteries on the trailer.. :dunno:.  That's ok I'll install a better system then you get from the factory, because I need it for my ham gear.. :disturbed:.  I'll try and get photos of the work as it goes..I have the bad habit of getting the job done and forgetting to take pictures. :smack: I have also been flushing and sanitizing the water tank. They never used it or the furnice, and the fridge has only been run on A/C.  :ack: I see a few dollars for repairs on those.

:disturbed: Hell I still sleep in snow banks, but it sure is easy when all the stuff is packed in a trailer, and karen only has to load the coolers and beer for the weekend.  No more moving everything from the basement to the truck and then the truck back to the basement... Now if I can get her to hook it up by her self then I'm laughing. :yesnod:
