1st gen goodies
« on: Jun 14, 2009, 09:15:06 PM »
I came into some 1st gen stuff today. I'll post pics tomorrow. I just got home and it's dark. But, this is what I have: both doors(no panels), 2wd bed(short), If you need this for a 4wd all you have to do is bolt on the rubber fender flares and down the road. I have more too.... I'm in Buckeye, AZ 85326. Sorry I took so long, got sidetracked with the honey-do-list. Here goes:

All I really needed was the tailgate. But the guy was going to scrap all of this precious toy stuff. So I loaded it all up for you guys. Although, the tailgate is the wrong year. As you all know the tailgates are known for the top rail comming loose. Mine fell off while I was at KOH and never to be found. I was going to drill the welds out of this tailgate and weld it to my existing tailgate. But, the tailgate and bed are in such good shape I really hate to cut it up. So if there is anyone that would have a tailgate for my 83(single handle release) I would gladly trade.

It hasn't come thru.  EDIT, I found it, you sent it to my e-mail instead of pm. I pretty dang dog sure it will fit your 80 4x4. Post up some questions about it here and you'll get some responses to back me up. I have both drive shafts too

I just measured and re-checked it. It WILL fit. They didn't change the bolt pattern for years and years. This has slight surface rust only.

How does the 2wd bed's middle seam line up with the 4x4s body seam?  Are they a match or is the 2wd bed's seam a different height?
1982 Yellow SWB SR5  L52HD, stock height, Pro Zap Front Bumper.  In the family since it was new in 82.
