Please help!! Pulling steering arms off

Trying to get my stock steering arms off to make room for the high steer... but i cant get them off the knuckles. Just want to make sure im doing it right n looking for tips
90 std cab, 3.slow, short box bobbed 12", 85 front, hi-steer, hi-pinion, 529s, locked, 39.5 iroks, 5" marlin springs, bilsteins...

ya just got the axle a couple days ago so the axle isnt even on the truck yet

Obviously take the nuts off, I use a BFH/hammer and tap/hit the steering arm to break it loose if its stuck on there. Should come right off.

ya i've been using the hammer and got one side off but i've hit the other side quite a few times  :_order: and cant get it to budge at all

They should come off, I've never had a problem taking them off after a couple of hits, you got the cone washers out?

well thats one of the problems, i cant get those out either i thought maybe i could get the arms loose so i could pull them out.

are you hitting them straight out and not n an angle?  you might also have a truniun that is smoked and will not let it out easy.  Like RCT said too get those cone washers out.

put the nut back on so its just on by a few threads, the nut will keep the washer from flying across the room and you from having to search for it and wack the side of the arm so it loosens the washer.

ah finally got them off! turns out i just needed a bigger hammer but had to spend some time on those cone washers, they were in there pretty good
