E-locker wiring??
« on: Mar 25, 2009, 10:46:04 PM »
I am getting ready to install my e-locker and my question is this. I have the complete harness from MC(I bought the locker and harness used from some kid) and it has all the plugs, relay's, and switch, but there are three loose wires that need to go somewhere.
1.I know which one is the power, does this get hooked up directly to the battery, or to a wire that is "hot" when the ignition is on?
2. There is a ground, I got that covered.
3. There is one more loose wire that i'm wondering if it is like a remote wire that turns the whole system on or off with the ignition?
Thanks in advance.

This may or may not help you. About half down the page the is a topic called Analyzing the Wiring. Hope this is what you need.

I know this is a bit old and you are probably done with your install, why not just use the factory module?  Usually they are cheap and easy to come by.  The last one we picked up on ebay was like $15 for the module and $10 for the switch.  Easy to wire, and works great.  Plus you get the factory switch which is cool and no resistor is required.  Just a thought.
