I used allpros with the ebrake conversion. Kind of a pain in the ass to install but once its in I love it! It just uses rubber bushings so it added alot more vibration. But also have not broke a motor mount since...
That is a really nice crossmember. However, I would like to keep my drivetrain more traditionally mounted on a "three point system" instead of a 4 point. With a "4 point system" you transfer all of the torque and twisting that the frame sees into your drivetrain. I also understand that the extra torque of doubles adds LOT of stress to the mounting system, but I think that it should be up to the motor mounts to stop the torque, not the crossmember.
I know BIGMIKE and others have broken a
crossmember in a "4 point system." I believe this is because a 4 point system does not let the motor mounts do their job (let the drive train move separately from the frame).
However this brings up a new problems, lets face it the stock yota motor mounts don't cut it the way I wheel now with stock gearing. Since I need to keep the motor mounts the more ridged part of the mounting system, I will need to up grade my motor mounts. I am thinking something like this.
